1st National Student UN Simulation for Human Rights “Students in the role of diplomats”

Forty Junior and Senior High School students of the Schools participated in the 1st National Student Simulation of the United Nations for Human Rights “Students in the role of diplomats”, organized by the Social Cooperative Enterprise ROI and held in Vellidio Convention Center from Friday, December 16th to Sunday, December 18th, 2016. The opening speech at the opening ceremony was delivered by the student of 11th Grade A. Foka as a diplomat of Germany.

Students – diplomats and all people involved as volunteers were sensitized on issues related to the protection and defense of human rights and became familiar with issues of implementation of the relevant UN International Conventions. As country representatives they defended the rights of man, according to what is true in their own country, they accepted and respected the arguments and opinions of other states, and developed the appropriate arguments to convince people about their positions.

On the last day of the conference the decisions of the Committee were presented and the best diplomats – speakers were awarded. The distinctions of our students were:
