Mandoulides Schools’ Internal Operations Regulations of Mandoulides’ Schools

The Internal Regulations for the operation of the Schools are in accordance with the current educational legislation, the principles, values and the purpose of the Schools’ establishment.
  • They aim at the Schools’ smooth operation and better cooperation among students, parents and Schools.
  • They promise and ensure the provision of the best education and training to the students of the Schools.
  • They are supplemented with the Rules of School Life that are renewed and updated every year.
The enrollment of students in the Day Care Center and Kindergarten of Mandoulides’ Schools presupposes and implies the full acceptance of the Internal Regulations and the Rules of School Life by both parents and students.

Ways to Pay Tuition Fees

For your convenience we suggest you follow the steps below:

  • A student’s registration requires payment of any outstanding fees of the previous school year
  • Upon registration a deposit of €500 on tuition must be made. The remaining balance must be paid in three equal installments by March 1st, and regarding Day Care Center in monthly installments by June 1st
  • It is the Schools’ policy not to accept cash for security reasons.

Payment of tuition fees and other costs can be made:

Using a Visa, MasterCard, or Maestro credit or debit card.

Attention!
To avoid error and inconvenience, the bank deposit slip must include all this information:

  • Student's full name.
  • Parent’s/legal guardian’s full name.

A receipt of payment will appear within three days on the online platform mymandoulides.

Scholarship Program

In order to guarantee that their students have equal access to the benefits of education, the Schools provide financial aid and scholarships (full or partial) based on academic performance, conduct, and distinctions in competitions on a regional, national and international level, as well as in sports.

  • Becoming acquainted with the scholarship exams for 7th Grade: Sunday, December 06, 2020 and Sunday, February 14, 2021
  • 7th Grade scholarships: Sunday, May 16 2021
  • 8th - 12th Grade scholarships: Thursday, June 17 2021

 

Becoming acquainted with the scholarship exams

As part of the 7th Grade scholarship exams, the Schools invite prospective students and parents to the online meetings on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at 10:00-13:00 in order to:

  •  Be informed about the scholarship program.
  •  Get acquainted with tests of previous years with the guidance of teachers of the respective subjects.

7th Grade Scholarship Examinations 2021 - 2022

Scholarships are awarded to 6th Grade students from public and private schools who achieve the highest scores in the written scholarship exams in Modern Greek and Mathematics, based on the subject matter of the last grades of Elementary School.

The scholarship exams for 7th grade will be held on Sunday, May 16 2021 at 09:00 in the Junior-Senior High School premises (12th km Highway Thessaloniki- N. Moudania). 

There are two types of scholarships:
a) for in school students from Mandoulides Schools
b) for students from all other public or private schools.

The total number of scholarships are fourteen (14), seven (7) for each of the following categories:

a)  Mandoulides Schools students
b)  Students of public and private schools

The scholarships granted for each category of students are:

  • One (1) 100% scholarship
  • Two (2) 50% scholarships
  • Two (2) 30% scholarships
  • Two (2) 20% scholarships

Criteria for maintaining a scholarship: 

  • Excellent academic performance, above 19, in main courses:
    • In 7th, 8th, 9th Grade: Ancient Greek, Modern Greek, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English
    • In 10th Grade: Greek Language (Ancient Greek, Modern Greek Literature, Modern Greek), Mathematics, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English
    • 11th Grade: Modern Greek and Orientation courses
  • Overall GPA over 19
  • Outstanding conduct
  • Distinctions in regional, international and national competitions
  • Participation in activities and programs of the Schools.

Previous years’ 7th Grade examination topics

8th - 12th Grade Scholarships

At the end of the school year, students from Mandoulides Schools and all other public or private schools are given the opportunity to apply for a scholarship for the in between classes or to increase the amount of money awarded for those already holding a scholarship.  

The scholarship exams for 8th, 9th grade students and Senior High Schools students will be held on Thursday, June 17 2021 at 09:00 on the Junior - Senior High School premises (12th klm. National Road Thessaloniki - N. Moudania). The selection process for the in between classes scholarship is completed when the students that excelled undergo an oral interview on Tuesday, June 22nd and Wednesday, June 23rd, 2021. 

Courses tested:

Students taking part in the 8th - 12th Grade scholarship examinations are tested on the syllabuses of the school year that has just ended for these courses:

  • 8th - 10th Grade: Modern Greek and Mathematics
  • 11th - 12th Grade: Modern Greek and Ancient Greek (Orientation Courses A)
  • 11th - 12th Grade: Modern Greek and Mathematics (Orientation Courses B and C)
  • 12th Grade: Modern Greek and Biology (Orientation Courses B - Health Studies)

Selection criteria

  • High grades, over 18 in the courses tested
  • Overall GPA over 19
  • Outstanding conduct.
  • Distinctions in regional, national and international competitions.
  • Activities and aptitudes.
  • Family’s financial status. Overall family income must not exceed €40,000.
  • Interview with a three-member committee (a philologist, a mathematician and a member of the administration of the Schools).

Documents needed 

After the examination results are released, parents/legal guardians of the selected students must submit to the Secretariat of the Junior-Senior High School the following documents:

  • Copy of transcript or graduating certificate for the previous school year
  • E1 - Tax Return Form for the previous year
  • Π - Taxation Notice of Assessment for the previous 3 years
  • ΕΝΦΙΑ - Single Property Tax for the previous year.

Parents of the selected students need to provide the above documents on an annual basis so that the scholarship can be retained.

Criteria of retaining a scholarship:

  • Excellent academic performance, above 19, in main courses:
    • In 8th, 9th Grade: Ancient Greek, Modern Greek, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English
    • In 10th Grade: Greek Language (Ancient Greek, Modern Greek Literature, Modern Greek), Mathematics, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English

Previous years’ topics for the 8th - 12th grade

The three (3) students who receive the highest overall grade in each class are awarded three (3) scholarships corresponding to discounts in the tuition of the following school year.

The scholarship percentages are as follows:

  • First place: 30% on tuition fees
  • Second place: 20% on tuition fees
  • Third place: 10% on tuition fees

In the event of:

  • Three (or more) students tied for first place, the 60% of the first, second and third place (30% and 20% and 10%) is equally divided
  • Two students tied for first place, the 50% of the first and second (30% and 20%) is equally divided
  • Two (or more) students tied for second place, the 30% of the second and third place (20% and 10%) is equally divided
  • Two (or more) students tied for third place, the 10% is equally divided.

Scholarship criteria:

  • Excellent academic performance, above 19, in main courses:
    • 7th, 8th, 9th Grade: Ancient Greek, Modern Greek, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English
    • 10th Grade: Greek Language (Ancient Greek Language and Literature, Modern Greek Language and Literature) Mathematics, Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English

  • Distinctions in regional, international and national competitions
  • Participation in activities and programs of the Schools.

Students who excel in national competitions and form part of the respective national teams in Balkan and International Olympiads are granted scholarships up to 100% of tuition.

Some of the competitions are: Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Astronomy and Astrophysics, Biology, Chemistry, Debate etc.

Sports basketball scholarships up to 80% of tuition are granted to students who combine impressive academic and athletic performance.

Criteria for retaining a scholarship:

  • Academic performance above 15
  • Outstanding conduct
  • Proper behavior on and off the court

  • Participation in the teams of Cultural and Sports Association Evangelos Mandoulides
  • Participation in activities of the Schools.

Open Days

Mandoulides Schools have implemented the program Open Days to welcome new students and their parents. As part of this program, students and parents have the opportunity to:

  • Attend events at Mandoulides Schools’ Day Care Center, Kindergarten, Elementary and Junior - Senior High Schools; become acquainted with how we operate and what our teaching philosophy is; and observe the pedagogical practices we use and their results.
  • Meet with the Principals of all educational levels and the Coordinators of Programs, and be informed in further detail about issues concerning the curriculum, the educational, cultural and sports programs, as well as the extracurricular and after school activities.
  • Visit the premises and see the School’s facilities and technical infrastructure.
