Sustainability
Sustainable Development
The world as we know it is constantly changing, and at speeds that are sometimes frightening. The health crisis, the effects of accelerating climate change, the energy crisis and its intensity due to geopolitical conflicts require societies and individuals to develop new strategies on environmental, social and corporate governance issues.
We consider it our duty to adopt policies and ways that will ensure that our footprint on the environment and people will be constructive and effective.
Sustainability Education
We believe that climate change is the defining challenge of our generation.
We’re committed to reduce our carbon emissions by the end of 2030 and continuously improve our standards, which includes energy and water saving, and recycling. Our zero-waste policy also includes organ donations.
In a world where the long- and short-term effects of climate change pose major challenges, the need for sustainable schools has never been more important. That’s why we’ve made a promise to do more for the planet, by taking less.
Durability
In a world where we face significant problems due to both the short- and long-term effects of climate change, sustainable policies are more crucial than ever. We’ve pledged to do more for the environment while consuming less because of this.
Our Actions
Scholarship Program
Seeking to guarantee that our students have equal opportunities of access to the benefits of education, we provide financial support to students from low income families and scholarships (full or partial) based on their academic performance, conduct and distinctions in regional, national and international competitions, as well as in sports. We are committed to helping to provide a brighter future for deserving students.
Blood Bank
Deeming that blood donation is an invaluable social offering and knowing that demand for blood is constantly on the increase, we have established a blood bank, where blood donors are volunteers from the teaching, administrative and auxiliary staff of Mandoulides Schools, as well as parents and guardians of our students and alumni.
Support of the schools of Greek Expatriates with an emphasis on the Zografeio Lykeio in Istanbul
Through the organization of joint actions and events that promote education and culture, we provide to young people of the Greek Expatriates’ community the motivation to cultivate their love for the Greek language, strengthen their ties with Greece and continue their efforts to achieve a better future for their community.
Initiative for the purchase of medical equipment for the Ippokrateio General Hospital of Thessaloniki
To demonstrate concrete support during this period towards the national endeavor to combat the pandemic and towards the struggle of the doctors and the nursing personnel of the country, we have decided to raise money for the purchase of medical equipment to cover the needs of the 3rd University Pediatric Clinic of the Ippokrateio General Hospital of Thessaloniki.
The 3rd University Pediatric Clinic of Ippokrateio Hospital in Thessaloniki is the reference center for children from throughout Northern Greece suffering from COVID-19 virus. The clinic is also responsible for the Home Care program that supports children with disabilities. To date, the Home Care program has treated 248 children with serious health problems, facilitating their independence from the Clinic and a safe return to their homes, always with the cooperation and supervision of specialized medical teams of the Clinic.

Students’ visits and volunteering in retirement homes and pediatric clinics
Aiming to make students aware of the need for volunteerism and to contribute to the smile of their fellow human beings.
Awareness Days
Volunteering nurtures the values of solidarity and humanity in practice and brings people together. Through such acts of love and solidarity, our students gain valuable experiences and learn to offer and care for our fellow human beings.
Sustainability Αctions
We cultivate environmental consciousness and love for the environment through a series of engaging environmental actions. For this reason, the Green Flag of Ecological Schools has been awarded to Mandoulides Schools for several years.
Corporate Governance
Diversity, equality, and inclusion
We are committed to creating a culture of equality
Domestic helpers, luxury apartments, and €1,000 strollers are privileges. Access to the best education, however, should be available to everyone.
Admission rates to top universities are declining, while the number of high-quality schools remains stagnant. The need for balance in private education is clear — but who will succeed in achieving it?
By creating a modern curriculum combined with cutting-edge technology and affordable tuition fees, we offer a contemporary choice for students, parents, and teachers alike.
We empower our staff with the freedom to develop ideas that benefit students, the school, and the local community.
An organization can only be as successful as the community it serves. That is why we are committed to promoting equal opportunities and embracing diverse perspectives in pursuit of our mission.
Our commitment is to achieve long-term change
Each year, we strengthen our efforts to provide high-quality education and improve our students’ performance.
In addition, in order to go beyond the conventional footprint of a school, we are exploring a sustainable strategy.
Building a team that is more inclusive, equitable, and diverse
In our effort to increase diversity in representation across both leadership and staff, we are modernizing our recruitment and promotion processes.
To ensure that our teams feel heard, valued, and properly supported, we regularly hold internal meetings that strengthen and nurture our organizational culture.
We are committed to continuously improving our policies against both racism and bias.
Flexibility
We are convinced that enabling our team to participate in democratic electoral processes will have a long-term impact on the future of our country.
In addition, we offer the flexibility of remote working.
Volunteering and active community engagement
Through our Community Impact Hours initiative, eligible team members can receive up to two hours of paid leave annually to participate in volunteering and social impact activities that create positive change within our community.
Empowering Women
Within the vibrant mosaic of our global student community at Mandoulides Schools, diversity is far more than just a cliché phrase.
It is part of the DNA of our innovation. We have embarked on a journey to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the women within the Mandoulides Schools community. Every day, we strive to cultivate the values of equality and inclusion as we help shape a future of equal opportunities for generations to come.
We honored educators, alumni, and mothers of the Mandoulides community who have distinguished themselves professionally and socially, serving as inspiring role models for others.
Corporate Social Responsibility
At our Schools, we believe that Corporate Social Responsibility should be a daily practice and a conscious commitment — not only for every entrepreneur, but for every citizen who respects themselves and loves their country.
Giving back to others and to society, as well as caring for the environment, should be cultivated and instilled in young people from an early age. Schools have a responsibility to nurture these values and to teach lessons of humanity, solidarity, and respect for the environment.
Mandoulides Schools and the “Evangelos Mandoulides” Educational and Athletic Association, remaining faithful to their educational mission since their founding in 1978, undertake initiatives and actions that reflect their social sensitivity and their long-standing commitment to the development and progress of society, the protection of the environment, education, and culture.
With consistency and a strong sense of responsibility, we implement initiatives and undertake actions on a voluntary basis, fully aware that responsible behavior leads to sustainable development and prosperity.
We firmly believe that only when society progresses can its members truly grow and evolve.
For this reason, we cultivate in our students, from their earliest steps at Mandoulides Schools, a strong sense of responsibility and contribution through a range of philanthropic activities aimed at supporting both people and the wider community.
