Scholarship Program

In order to guarantee that their students have equal access to the benefits of education, the Schools provide financial aid and scholarships (full or partial) based on academic performance, conduct, and distinctions in competitions on a regional, national and international level, as well as in sports.

01. Becoming acquainted with the scholarship exams 2026 - 2027

As part of our scholarship examination process, Mandoulides Schools invites prospective students and their parents to information sessions. These sessions provide an opportunity to learn about the curriculum, the school’s scholarship program, review past exam topics under the guidance of subject teachers, and participate in interactive workshops:

Becoming acquainted with Mandoulides Schools

The scholarship examinations for Grade 7 (1st Gymnasium) will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 09:00 at the Junior High–High School campus of Mandoulides Schools (12th km Thessaloniki–Nea Moudania National Road).

What you need to know:

  • Eligible participants: Students of Mandoulides Schools and students from other private and public schools who stand out for their character and academic performance.

  • A total of fourteen (14) scholarships will be awarded:

    • Seven (7) for Mandoulides Schools students

    • Seven (7) for students from other private and public schools

Scholarship distribution per category:

  • 1 scholarship covering 100% of tuition fees

  • 2 scholarships covering 50% of tuition fees

  • 2 scholarships covering 30% of tuition fees

  • 2 scholarships covering 20% of tuition fees

Scholarships are awarded regardless of the family’s financial situation.

Criteria for maintaining scholarships in subsequent academic years:

  • Excellent academic performance, average grade above 19/20 in core subjects:

    • Grades 8–9 (Gymnasium): Ancient Greek Language & Literature, Modern Greek Language & Literature, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English

    • Grade 10 (1st Lyceum): Greek Language (Ancient Greek Language & Literature, Modern Greek Literature, Modern Greek Language), Mathematics, Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), English

    • Grade 11 (2nd Lyceum): Modern Greek Language and Orientation Group subjects

  • General average grade above 19/20

  • Excellent conduct

  • Distinctions in regional, national, or international competitions

  • Participation in school activities and programs

Scholarship process:

Phase A: Students will sit written exams in Greek and Mathematics, based on the curriculum of the final years of primary school. (Past exam papers are available below.)

Phase B: Based on exam results, the top 15 students from each category will proceed to a personal interview. Beyond academic knowledge, other aspects of the students’ personality will also be assessed. From these, 7 students per category will be selected.

Modern Greek

After the end of the school year, students of Mandoulides Schools as well as students from other public and private schools have the opportunity to compete for scholarships for intermediate grades or to increase the percentage of their existing scholarship.

The scholarship examinations for grades 8, 9  and 10, 11, 12 or the academic year 2026 – 2027 will take place at the Junior High–High School campus of Mandoulides Schools (12th km Thessaloniki–Nea Moudania National Road) on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 09:00.

Students who distinguish themselves will proceed to an interview to complete the selection process on Wednesday, June 24, and Thursday, June 25, 2026.

What you need to know

1. Eligible participants: Students of Mandoulides Schools as well as students from other public and private schools.

2. Depending on the grade they will attend in 2026–2027, students will be examined in the following subjects:

Grade 8, 9

  • Language Arts and Mathematics

Grade 10

  • Modern Greek Language and Mathematics

Grade 11

  • Modern Greek Language and Ancient Greek Language & Literature (Humanities Orientation Group)

  • Modern Greek Language and Mathematics (Science Orientation Group)

Grade 12 

  • Modern Greek Language and Ancient Greek Language & Literature (1st Scientific Field)

  • Modern Greek Language and Mathematics (2nd & 4th Scientific Field)

  • Modern Greek Language and Biology (3rd Scientific Field)

3. Selection criteria

  • High exam scores: above 18/20 in tested subjects

  • General average grade above 19/20

  • Excellent conduct

  • Distinctions in regional, national, or international competitions

  • Activities and talents

  • Family financial situation: household income must not exceed €40,000

  • Interview with a three-member committee consisting of teachers (Philologist, Mathematician) and a member of the school administration

Scholarships of National Distinctions

Students who excel in national competitions and form part of the respective national teams in Balkan and International Olympiads are granted scholarships up to 100% of tuition.

Some of the competitions are: Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Astronomy and Astrophysics, Biology, Chemistry, Debate etc.

Sports Scholarships

Sports basketball scholarships up to 80% of tuition are granted to students who combine impressive academic and athletic performance.

  • High work ethics
  • High sports ethics
  • Ability to compete at a high level
  • Academic performance above 15.

Criteria for retaining a scholarship:

  • Academic performance above 15
  • Outstanding conduct
  • Proper behavior on and off the court
  • Consistency, interest and systematic effort in training
  • Participation in the school championships of the Schools
  • Participation in the teams of Cultural and Sports Association Evangelos Mandoulides
  • Participation in activities of the Schools.
