Just before the end of the school year, the students of 2nd Grade took part in the program “Following Greek Tradition. From Wheat to Bread”, as part of the Schools’ healthy eating program, at the Women’s Association of Nea Gonia.
First, they learned about the great nutritional value and the various types of bread that can be found on the market. Then, they watched the whole process of bread production, from sowing to eating, and finally, they kneaded and baked their own bread in a wood-fired oven, which they were really proud of. It was a unique experience!
