On the occasion of Earth Day, students of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades of primary school had the pleasure of participating in a special educational activity at P.K.E.M., where they met the author Elena Artzanidou.

The author presented her book “The Earth Has a Fever,” a touching yet realistic story that raises children’s awareness and encourages them to reflect on the condition of our planet. Through the pages of the book, the young students traveled to a world where the Earth

“speaks,” expressing its wounds but also the hope that emerges when people choose knowledge, care, and active engagement.

With a direct, lively, and highly engaging approach, the author managed to capture the children’s interest, encourage critical thinking, and inspire them. Through a meaningful dialogue filled with questions, thoughts, and emotions, the students realized how important both personal and collective responsibility toward the environment truly are.

This activity contributed significantly to the development of the children’s environmental awareness, reinforcing the message that even our smallest everyday actions can have a major impact on protecting our planet.

Because the Earth is not just the environment around us… it is our home, our future, and our very life!
