The Schools, in their effort to prepare their students, as active citizens both nationally as well as internationally, and being members of the “Panhellenic Forensics Association”, offer preparation Debate courses in the English language.
Debate is an integral part of “Rhetoric Speech” in English – Forensics.
Debate courses are held in Junior-Senior high school as part of the students’ participation in the respective Panhellenic Competition.
The aim of the program is the best preparation possible for our students, so that they can participate in Debate camps and tournaments in Greece, and abroad, having as their “opponents”, students from English-speaking schools, and private or public schools in Athens, Thessaloniki, Larissa, and Patra.
In these preparation courses, students are trained in techniques and presentation skills, to gain their interlocutors’ attention and interest. At the same time, they learn to
research issues of global interest, support their views, and write speeches with arguments and substantial content, in English, until they become “public speakers”.
