Distinction in Αrt Competition “Apo tis rizes fitronoun ftera”

The students of Mandoulides Schools got an important distinction in the 6th Film Creation Competition.

The competition was held by the non-profit organization for promoting Greek Culture “OPUS”, and co-organized by the Museum of Modern Art of New York – MOMA, the Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation, the Greek Children’s Book Circle, and Melissa Publications. The newspaper “Kathimerini” and the electronic magazine “Kokkini Alepou” were responsible for the communication.

More specifically, the animated film entitled “Apo tis rizes fitronoun ftera” stood out and got distinguished, winning first place and the Script Award and was awarded at an event on Saturday, 13th April at the Amphitheatre of the Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation.

The film was created during an art class from the students’ drawings and commentary on the life and work of the painter Yannis Gaitis and the images inspired by the students themselves.
