The kindergarten students participated in an educational visit to the facilities of the “Barba Stathis” factory, where they took part in a specially designed nutrition program.
During the program, the children had the opportunity to understand the nutritional value of vegetables, the importance of a balanced diet, and to become more aware of the critical issue of food waste. In addition, they learned about the process of producing and sorting fresh vegetables, explored the importance of healthy eating through interactive, experiential, and sensory games, and created their own “food pyramids” and other artistic crafts.
Finally, they prepared and tasted healthy snacks with the help of the program’s instructors. All activities aimed to help children develop basic knowledge about healthy eating and appreciate the value of nature in our daily lives.
