Educational Trip to the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), Switzerland

29 students of 10th and 11th grade participated in the annual visit of Mandoulides Schools to the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland from 6  to 10 February, 2017. The aim of the trip was the LHC (Large Hadron Collider), a very important international research project for High Energy Particle Physics.

As part of the educational trip, which was also attended by students of Zografeio Lykeio, visits were paid to the United Nations, the Permanent Representation of Greece to the United Nations, the Olympic Museum in Lausanne and the Orthodox Center of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

The students were also guided around the sights of Lausanne, Montreux and the historical center of Geneva.
