On Wednesday, 12 December, 2018, the Environmental Group of Junior High School visited the Axios Delta Information Center of the Axios-Loudias-Aliakmonas Management Authority in Chalastra, Thessaloniki.
There the students were informed by specialists about the values of wetland ecosystems, the species of animals and plants living in the wider region and the environmental problems the region faces. Afterwards, they moved to the field where they had a genuine hands-on experience with nature and the wetland, always under the guidance of the Delta Management Authority scientists.
