On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, our Primary School had the joy and honor of welcoming people with disabilities from the “O Sotir” association, in a day filled with emotion, joy, and valuable experiences. This visit offered a unique opportunity for the students of the 1st and 2nd grade to meet the guests from “O Sotir” up close and share moments of creativity and cooperation with them.
From early in the morning, the schoolyard was filled with smiles and e ου κρα xcitement. The first and second graders participated together with our visitors in various activities, such as exercise routines, group games, and simple motor activities that brought joy to everyone. Afterwards, music became our common language, as children and adults sang beloved Christmas songs together, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The day concluded with crafts, where our students collaborated with the children of “O Sotir” to create drawings full of colors and positive messages. A particularly special moment was the creation of the “friendship chain,” a colorful paper chain that helped the children understand that our differences do not divide us—on the contrary, they unite us when there is love, patience, and acceptance.
The central message of the day, “A Different Kind of School,” became a life lesson for all of us. A different, open, humane school. A school that embraces every person and teaches that together we can create a world of equality and respect. The most important message we kept is that together we are one big hug!
