Mandoulides CodeWeek 2018: Closing Ceremony

On Thursday, 8 November, 2018, the innovative program of introduction to Programming and Algorithmic Thinking was completed with the closing ceremony that took place at Mandoulides Cultural and Sports Center, with the participation of all Junior High School students and the presentation of awards to those who excelled.

During the first week, 15 – 19 October 2018, a workshop on JavaScript programming language took place and, on the Silent Teacher platform, the students learned the basic concepts of Programming with Adaptive Learning, where the level of difficulty of the questions was accustomed to each student’s knowledge.

During the second week, 22 – 26 October 2018, another workshop on JavaScript took place, educational material was distributed and students were asked to answer JavaScript comprehension questions.

During the third week, 22 – 24 October 2018, students took a written assessment test and based on its results, the five best students from each class were selected.

On Thursday, 8 November, 2018, the top five students from each class were awarded for their performance during the two weeks of the program. The distinguished students participated in the final competition, where the best five of each class competed and the Champion Team of each grade was awarded.

  • 24 students of 8th Grade
  • 22 students of 9th Grade
