At our Kindergarten, with great joy and emotion, we celebrated the national anniversary of October 28th, 1940. Through hands-on activities, our young students learned about the historical events of that period and talked about the values of peace, freedom, and love for their homeland.

Throughout the week, the children took part in creative art projects. They made Greek flags, laurel wreaths, doves of peace, and beautiful drawings inspired by the events of 1940. With scissors, glue, and plenty of imagination, the classrooms were filled with blue-and-white creations.

On the day of the celebration, the children sang songs and recited poems, proudly saying “No!” just as the Greeks did in 1940. The event concluded with a symbolic parade in our schoolyard. Our students, holding their Greek flags high, marched rhythmically to the sound of patriotic music. It was a day filled with pride, smiles, and hope for a peaceful future.

Happy National Day, Greece!
