The main goal of the special IT program is to better familiarize students with computers and new technologies through hands-on activities, such as creating an electronic newspaper, programming games, making a movie, and more.
The IT program includes MinecraftEdu and Hackathlon, turning learning into a game!
MinecraftEdu, a version of Minecraft designed specifically for school classrooms, is an open world that promotes creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. Through MinecraftEdu, students will learn everything from science to art and poetry!
Hackathlon is a game based on a simple yet impressive idea. Each student must “crack” secret codes and navigate through levels on our specially designed educational websites. To succeed, they must solve mathematical and various other puzzles, search for information, process diagrams, explore maps, and more.
By participating, students develop motivation for creating a healthy and creative relationship with computers, as well as cultivating programming thinking through enjoyable activities.
