With great success, the Robotics Festival “Mandoulides FIRST® LEGO® League CHALLENGE – SUBMERGED℠” took place on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the Indoor Gymnasium of the Elementary School of Mandoulides, in collaboration with the educational organization “Eduact – Action for Education.”
The competition, adapted to be held within school units while meeting all the official competition standards, provided an opportunity for 15 teams of sixth-grade students to build and program their robots. The students explored and designed technological solutions for ocean exploration, working collaboratively and showcasing the values of teamwork and discovery through STREAM (Science, Technology, Robotics, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics).
All participants were awarded medals and certificates, while four standout teams won competition prizes. The event was attended by a five-member team from Eduact, along with the organization’s founder, Kostas Vasileiou, who greeted the participants and spoke with the children. Also present were Ms. Christina Bossi and Ms. Maria Papadopoulou, vice principals of the Elementary School.
