Three high school students of our School achieved a remarkable distinction at the 3rd Panhellenic Synthetic Biology Riddles Competition.
Specifically, the team of I. Vergou, S. Mavridou, and A. Sklavou (10th Grade) won the Second Prize.
The competition, aimed at small teams of high school students, was held online on Thursday, September 25, 2025, and organized by the iGEM Athens 2025 Student Research Team.
The Competition aimed to familiarize students with scientific research and competitions, introduce them to the iGEM team and international competition, cultivate teamwork and healthy rivalry and equip students with knowledge and skills useful for their future as scientists or research team members.
The award ceremony will take place at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), in the Microbiology Amphitheater, on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
