On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, an informational presentation was held for High School students by representatives of the ÖSD Institute Greece and the University of Vienna. The session aimed to provide students with a comprehensive overview of the Austrian academic landscape and international study pathways.
During the presentation, Ms. Panagiota Pavlou (ÖSD) outlined the structure of the Austrian higher education system, admission procedures and language requirements. Following this, Prof. Dr. Emmanuela Plakoyannaki and Dr. Angelos Angelakis from the International Business Department of the University of Vienna shared their academic expertise, discussing the “myths vs. realities” of studying abroad. A key focus of the discussion was the international nature of their department and the extensive use of English in daily academic life, despite the universities being officially German-speaking.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, offering students the opportunity to address specific concerns and explore potential options for pursuing their future studies in Austria.
