The 3rd Grade Celebrates World Book Day

Listen to this article

On the occasion of International Children’s Book Day, the 3rd-grade students traveled into the magical world of books and imagination.

At first, they explored a unique way of expression by creating their own shape poems. Using words full of imagery and emotions, the children composed short poems that took on visual forms, proving that imagination has no limits.

Next, each student chose their favorite book and created a colorful “flower of knowledge.” On each petal, they wrote details from the book’s “identity,” such as the author, the illustrator, the title, and their favorite quote. In this way, through a creative activity, the children connected more deeply with the books they love and shared their reading experiences with their classmates.

This activity served as a beautiful reminder that books are valuable friends that accompany us, teach us, and take us on journeys to magical worlds.
