A group of 13 students of 8th Grade approached the Garden of a great artist, Henri Matisse, inspired by the new children’s book series of the New York Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), and more specifically the book “The Garden of Matisse”. They went out into the nature and tried to experientially understand his artistic language. They created art and reflected on nature.
The project was presented at an event by Melissa Publications and the MoMA on 20 October 2018, at IANOS bookstore in Thessaloniki. The keynote speaker at the event was Christopher Hudson, senior publisher at MoMA.
