On Tuesday, April 23rd, the Junior High School Environmental Team of Mandoulides Schools made an educational visit to the University of Macedonia. More specifically, they met with Mr. Periklis Chatzinakos, Head of the Environmental Office of the University, which is known for its recycling practices. Thus, Mr. Chatzinakos explained to our students the recycling needs, the practical problems that arise during its implementation, the types of recyclable materials, as well as how recycling is carried out at this University. Then, an interesting and constructive discussion on the subject followed, along with a tour of the University of Macedonia premises, especially those where recyclable materials are collected.
