A few days before the anniversary of October 28th, we visited the War Museum of Thessaloniki, to honor “Ohi Day” and Greece’s contribution to World War II. We viewed exhibits showcasing Greece’s military history, including uniforms, weapons, maps, and photographs from the war.
Our focus was on the events of the era to help our young students understand the historical significance of the day. We also learned a great deal about the role of women in the war and the sacrifices made by the Greek people. At the end of the tour, we were particularly impressed by the medals of bravery awarded to courageous soldiers, serving as a testament to their bravery and heroism.
