With the completion of the “Forest – Civil Protection” program within the Skills Workshops, the 2nd grade students visited “MIKROI IROES,” where they participated in the educational program “Walking, Walking Through the Forest,” which took place in the peri-urban forest of Thessaloniki.
In a lush green environment, just a few meters from Filippio, the children transformed into little explorers! With the guidance of the program coordinators, they walked along forest paths, listened to the sounds of nature, and carefully observed the plants and animals living there. They learned to distinguish different types of trees, recognize animal tracks, and respect the natural environment.
As future campers, the children were informed about the importance of preventing forest fires, which is especially crucial during the summer months. They learned ways to protect the forest and how to behave responsibly when in nature. Through games, discussions, and hands-on activities, their ecological awareness was nurtured and their love for the environment was strengthened.
It was a unique experience that combined learning with the joy of exploration, leaving the children with beautiful memories and valuable knowledge!
