Webinar on Programming Thinking and Algorithmic Logic – 19/02/22
The webinar on Programming Thinking and Algorithmic Logic, which was dedicated to Seymour Papert, creator of the Logo programming language, founder of Educational Robotics and one of the pioneers in the field of Artificial Intelligence, was successfully conducted on Saturday, 19 February.
Our students became acquainted with the life and work of this great scientist and through this journey of knowledge they familiarized themselves with the Panhellenic Informatics Competition and the FLL Competition on Robotics and Innovation. The aim of the webinar was to introduce students to algorithmic logic, while giving them the opportunity to discover step by step the preparation that needs to be done in order for them to be able to participate in the Panhellenic Informatics Competition as well as create interesting projects related to Robotics and Innovation.
Finally, the students participated in a quiz related to the knowledge they acquired during the webinar. The first 3 winners received Dr. Chris Malliarakis’ book “Algorithmiada,” which enhances students’ knowledge on Computer Programming and facilitates their preparation for the Panhellenic Informatics Competition. The books were offered by “Ellinoekdotiki Publishing.”
