World Cities Day

World Cities Day was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2013 and is celebrated annually on 31 October. The day aims to raise awareness about the importance of sustainable urbanization and to encourage cooperation among nations, regions and cities to address urban challenges. 

This year’s observance emphasizes the power of youth to lead leadership in urban adaptation and climate resilience. By stepping up  taking the lead, today’s youth can shape their cities to be inclusive, equitable and environmentally sustainable for future generations. to come. 

Through our educational and extracurricular activities, we constantly try to spotlight innovative ideas proposed by our young school members and explore together pathways to turn their visions into impactful actions. translate these ideas into tangible actions. We believe that young people are key advocates for bolder steps and actions to tackle climate crisis in their cities, and we proudly stand by them, spreading the word for Sustainable Urbanism.
