An amazing educational trip filled with powerful emotions was enjoyed by the 6th Grade students of E. Mantoulidis Schools from May 24 to May 27, as they visited Nafplio and Athens, the two historic capitals of modern Greece.
The students explored the picturesque narrow streets of Nafplio’s old town, climbed the historic Palamidi Fortress, and were impressed by the Lion Gate and the Treasury of Atreus in Mycenae. Their tour of the region concluded with a visit to the ancient Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, a masterpiece of architecture and culture.
In today’s capital, Athens, the students climbed the Sacred Rock of the Acropolis of Athens, toured its state-of-the-art Acropolis Museum, and visited the Hellenic Parliament building, gaining valuable hands-on knowledge and experiences.
This multi-day excursion proved to be the perfect finale to their elementary school years. The children returned to Thessaloniki with their bags full of unique experiences, knowledge, and unforgettable memories that will stay with them forever.
