1st-grade Students Participate in the Museum Education Program “Collective Threads” at MoMus

The1st-grade students had the opportunity to embark on a journey into the world of textile design through the museum education program “Collective Threads: Anna Andreeva at the Red Rose Silk Factory”at MoMus, locatedin the Moni Lazariston complex.

During the exhibition, they explored the work of Anna Andreeva, are nowned Russian textile designer from 1940-1980. Through colors, geometric shapes, and patterns inspired by electricity, space, andearly technology, the museum transformed into a creative space for exploration and experimentation.

Through out th eprogram, the children toured the museum’s two floors, attended and analyzed selected works of Andreeva, and, through interactive discussions, discovered how her forms and patterns connect to science and technology. Then, they became young designers themselves, participating in a creative workshop where they experimented with patterns on three-dimensional objects.

It was a unique experience that introduced the children to art and design, enhancing their imagination and aesthetic sense through the power of color and shapes!
