3rd Prize in the 5th Panhellenic Student Essay Competition “Eleftherios Venizelos”

Student V. Papadopoulou (12th grade) won the 3rd prize in the 5th Panhellenic Student Essay Competition “Eleftherios Venizelos” on the topic: “The importance of revolutionary mobilization of Therissos in establishing Eleftherios Venizelos as a national leader”. The competition was organized by the National Research and Study Foundation “Eleftherios Venizelos” for the 2024 – 2025 school year. 

The competition was open to 12th-grade students from General High Schools (both Public and Private) across Greece and the Greek schools of the Diaspora. Participants were required to write an essay on the leadership role of El. Venizelos in the revolution of Therissos.  

The student was awarded the prize and a cash reward of 600 euros at a special ceremony held in Chania on Saturday, March 22, 2025, the month of Eleftherios Venizelos’ passing (on the eve of his political memorial service).
