10 students from the Senior High School of E. Mandoulides Schools achieved significant distinctions in the 2nd Panhellenic Riddle Competition in Synthetic Biology. The competition which targeted small teams of Senior High school students, was held online on Tuesday, September 24th, 2024, and was organized by the iGEM Athens 2024 Student Research Team.
Specifically, three of the six teams we participated with won 1st Prize, while another team won 3rd Prize.
The students who excelled were:
1st Prize:
Team 1: I. Pagonis, Th. Panagiotopoulos, M. – E. Skandila (11th grade)
Team 3: X. Gritsios, I. Motsanos (11th grade)
Team 4: M. Litou (11th grade), N. Migiaki (10th grade), A. Saliakelli (11th grade)
3rd Prize:
Team 5: A. – Th. Georgiadis (11th grade), A. Kaimakis (12th grade)
The awards ceremony for the winning teams will take place at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in the «ΝΑΒΟ» Amphitheater, on Saturday, September 28th, 2024.
