As part of our charitable initiative and the volunteerism theme in the Skills Workshops, the 3rd grade students opened their hearts and recorded their favorite fairytales, aiming to send a message of love and hope to children hospitalized in pediatric oncology units. Along with the recording, they created and sent drawings and cards full of encouraging messages and colors of hope.
A few days later, the psychosocial team of the “Lampsi” Association visited our school. The team members brought handmade gifts, lovingly crafted by children in the oncology departments, as a token of gratitude. Through a warm and meaningful discussion, the students had the opportunity to ask their questions and understand how important it is to offer love and joy.
This experience filled everyone’s hearts with strength and optimism. Through this action, our students discovered that even a small heartfelt gift can brighten someone else’s world and spread smiles.
