On Friday, January 23, 2026, the Mandoulides Schools participated in the international AMC 8 competition of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). A total of 57 students from 7th and 8th grade took part. The students answered 25 multiple-choice questions in 40 minutes.
The students who distinguished themselves in the competition are:
1st Prize: S. Ranios (8th grade), D. Stafylas (8th grade)
2nd Prize: A. Papoutsis (8th grade)
3rd Prize: E. Mavropetrou (8th grade)
It is worth noting that all four students ranked in the top 25% of participants in the competition.
A total of 80,982 students from 2,129 schools participated in the competition.
