As part of their History lesson, the 4th Grade students “traveled” through time through the educational program “Acropolis: A Star that Shines Through the Ages.” The aim was to provide an experiential connection with our cultural heritage by using the power of technology and dialogue.
The activity began with a digital tour of the monuments of the Sacred Rock, with students working in pairs. Afterwards, through educational videos and a structured discussion, the children discovered the history of the Acropolis and reflected on the issue of the dispersion of the Parthenon Sculptures.
The activity concluded with an exciting debate! The students took on the roles of archaeologists, representatives of the British Museum, and UNESCO judges. They passionately defended their group’s viewpoints, strengthening their critical thinking and their ability to present well-supported arguments, always in a spirit of cooperation.
When History is taught through experience, it transforms into a fascinating journey!
