On the occasion of the Panhellenic School Day of Animal Welfare on April 4th, the 4th-grade students became the “voice” of animals! As part of their Environmental Studies class and the program “We Talk About Ourselves,” the children were divided into groups and took on the responsible role of ambassadors for endangered species in our country.
Through an interactive presentation, they studied animals at risk, such as the Egyptian vulture and the loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta). They created their own “animal ID profiles” and presented them to the class, suggesting ways to protect these species.
The activity concluded with a digital “wall of love” using the Padlet app, where students shared photos and stories about their own pets. Equipped with empathy and a sense of responsibility, the children demonstrated how important it is to protect every living being.
