Clothing Recycling Marathon at the Schools

For the past two years, Mandoulides Schools have been collaborating with the clothing recycling company TexCycle as part of a Clothing and Footwear Recycling Program in schools. This partnership aims to promote the principles of the Circular Economy and contribute to Environmental Protection.

Recently, TexCycle donated, as a gesture of kindness, a quantity of new clothing items to the organization “The Smile of the Child” on behalf of Mandoulides Schools.

On December 5th, Ms. Eleftheria Farmaki, a representative of the company, visited the schools once again. She informed the students during an event held at the Theater of the Cultural Center about the launch of a School Clothing Recycling Marathon, with a target of 500 kilograms.

Once this goal is reached, TexCycle will organize a tree-planting event, again as a gesture of kindness, in a suburban area of Thessaloniki. Students and anyone else wishing to help will have the opportunity to participate.

We encourage everyone to take part in this Marathon by bringing old clothes or shoes, clean and sealed in bags, and placing them in the special white collection bins located in the high school and elementary-kindergarten areas.
