3rd International Student Literature Meeting “Rethinking Literature… without any clicks”
Under the auspices of the Ecumenical Patriarchate
The 200 students and teachers from 20 schools of Greece, Istanbul, Imbros, Nicosia, New York, and Johannesburg and the 40 distinguished representatives of Arts and Letters who participated in the 3rd International Student Literature Meeting on “Rethinking Literature… without any clicks” had two fruitful days filled with literature on Monday, 27th and on Tuesday, 28th March, at the Theatre of the Cultural and Sports Centre of Mandoulides Schools.
The Student Meeting, which is a proposal for teaching and promoting literature, an innovative, creative, and pioneering proposal, due to Turkey’s current emergency situation, was held with a physical presence at the Cultural and Sports Centre of Mandoulides Schools (12th km of Thessaloniki – N. Moudania highway).
The Meeting’s opening was declared by His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomaeus.
Discussion Topics
The topics that were discussed, with the students as protagonists, as always, and with the assistance of selected representatives of arts and letters, authors, university professors, literary critics, teachers, and artists were:
- Do authors speak only through their work?
- The vision of my literary ally
- “The civilization of goldfish” or the world of many Giga in great challenges
- The book I wish I had written
- Yesterday’s trap and tomorrow’s fear
- Literature in the fake news era
- The fantastic view of reality
- Literature…without any clicks: authors speak with students
