As part of Sports Day on Friday, September 26, a CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) activity was held, actively supported by students who had participated in last year’s CPR competition.
The activity utilized school equipment (one manikin, four mats), additional manikins (3 units), training defibrillators (2 units), and other necessary gear, all generously donated by the humanitarian organization KIDS SAVE LIVES.
During the activity:
- Students and teachers who were interested had the opportunity to receive training in CPR techniques and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Our school is equipped with two AEDs at the Junior/Senior High School facilities and one at the Kindergarten/Primary School facilities.
- Competitions and games were conducted using the QCPR LAERDAL app via tablets (provided by the @IT department). The app connects to the manikin sensors and provides a percentage score indicating the accuracy and effectiveness of the rescuer’s CPR performance.
Through these activities, students develop vital life-saving skills and are inspired by the values of giving and volunteerism.
