The Kindergarten students took part in an educational visit to the facilities of Barba Stathis, where they participated in a specially designed program on nutrition.
During the program, they had the opportunity to understand the nutritional value of vegetables, learn about the importance of a balanced diet, and become sensitized to the critical issue of food waste. At the same time, they were introduced to the process of producing and sorting fresh vegetables and were informed about the significance of balanced nutrition through interactive, experiential, and sensory activities. Additionally, they created their own “food pyramids” and artistic constructions. At the end of the visit, they tasted healthy snacks that they prepared themselves with the help of the program instructors.
