Prompted by the book of our literary program “Be a Tree!” by Maria Gianferrari and the effort to raise children’s environmental awareness, the Pre-Kindergarten students participated in the educational program “The Forest as a Green Laboratory” in Seih-Sou Forest by the educational programs team “Little Heroes”.
Through hands-on games and activities, the children were trained in orientation in the forest and calculating the age and height of trees. Also, they learned how to build huts from reeds and small sticks and nests for small birds. The project aimed to reinforce respect and understanding of the value of the forest and the proper ways of recreation in it.
