With smiles, emotion, and a special sense of theatrical magic, this school year came to a close for the first-grade students of our school.
At the Cultural Center of Mandoulides Schools, the children presented, in their own authentic way, everything they experienced, learned, and lived through during their first year in elementary school. The farewell celebration, titled “An Adventure for Romeo,” was inspired by the book of the same name by Maria Papagianni and sensitively highlighted values such as love, friendship, and cooperation — values the children cultivated every day at school.
With spontaneity, enthusiasm, and creative imagination, the young students presented an original theatrical performance in which Romeo searches for the magic of theater and discovers it through his lively interaction with the children. Without the support of elaborate sets or complex costumes, the performance stood out for its sincerity, emotion, and authenticity. It was a celebration full of heart and meaning.
The evening began with the dynamic performance of the school’s cheerleading team, which set the rhythm and thrilled the audience. The program was further enriched by the participation of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Club, featuring fourth-grade students who presented a movement performance, demonstrating the creativity and dedication nurtured in our school.
At the center of the evening, as they truly deserved, were the first-grade students. With their childlike authenticity and vibrant energy, they moved, entertained, and won the warmest applause from the audience, reminding us all how important the first steps of school life are when accompanied by love, care, and inspiration.
The celebration concluded with a heartfelt wish: a carefree and joyful summer for all the children, filled with beautiful moments that will serve as a bridge to future creative experiences in the exciting journey of learning and life.
