The first-grade students visited NOESIS and took part with great enthusiasm in an educational program about the lives of astronauts aboard the International Space Station. The activity was carried out as part of the international educational program “Mission X: Train Like an Astronaut,” designed by the ESA (European Space Agency), which aims to familiarize children with science, physical exercise, and space research.
Through rich audiovisual material and three-dimensional objects, the children learned about astronauts’ daily lives, focusing on their equipment, the special suits they wear, and their diet in space. Working in groups, they took on the role of researchers, observing, discussing, and comparing living conditions in space with their own everyday life on Earth.
Through this hands-on experience, they discovered the importance of technological development and its usefulness in our daily lives. At the end of the activity, the children let their imagination run free and designed their own space suits, choosing the equipment they preferred. The visit was a unique experience of learning, cooperation, and creativity, full of knowledge and smiles
