Global Distinction for Mandoulides Schools: Two Students Excel in International Research Competition

In a major international academic success, two students from Mandoulides Schools have secured top honors at the prestigious Lumiere Scholars Essay Competition, emerging among the top entries from a global pool of over 2,100 submissions spanning 104 countries. 

The global initiative recognizes exceptional high school research talent, awarding competitive funding to students demonstrating college-level academic potential. 

The Laureates & Awards 

  • Emmanouil Giovanopoulos has been honored with the Distinction Award, alongside a $750 scholarship. 
  • Chloe Charitou has secured the Rising Scholars Award, accompanied by a $500 scholarship. 

Next Steps in Ivy-League Level Research 

Through these achievements, both students have earned entry into the elite Lumiere Research Scholar Program. The fellowship grants them the rare opportunity to work on a strictly one-on-one basis with PhD mentors from the world’s top-tier research universities, guiding them to author their own university-level academic papers.
