On Saturday, October 12, students, parents, and teachersof E. Mandoulides Schools participated in a special event, as part of the Sugarfree Challenge. Our hike in nature, which lasted aboutanhour and a half, provided numerous benefits, enhancing our physical fitness, promoting cooperation, and strengthening the bonds between students, parents, and teachers.
The landscape was particularly beautiful, as it was the chestnut-picking season, and nature greeted us with colors and scents that fascinated us. Throughout the walk, participants had the chance to enjoy the beauty of the natural environment and learn about the importance of healthy eating. After the hike, we gathered at the refuge, where we enjoyed a pleasant snack and warm tea in a friendly atmosphere of solidarity and community. This activity was an excellent chance for all of us to experience the joy of natureand understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle, free from added sugars.
