A Honorable Mention was awarded to student Prometheus-Panagiotis Nikou (Class of ’25) at the 55th International Physics Olympiad, held in Paris from July 18 to 24, 2025.

Panagiotis was one of five students selected to represent Greece, competing alongside over 400 peers from more than 80 countries across all continents. The Greek team also included Antonios–Angelos Georgoulis (3rd Chios General Lyceum), Myrsini Dimitropoulou (4th Pyrgos General Lyceum), Georgios Kagiampakis (Model Heraklion General Lyceum), and Danaë–Elpiniki Prousalidi (Model Evangelical School of Smyrna).

Participation in the Olympiad is based exclusively on performance in the Panhellenic Physics “Aristotle” Competitions. The selected students undergo an intensive preparatory program that includes both theoretical training and practical laboratory exercises at the Physics Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).

Warm congratulations to our student, who represented our country with distinction on the international stage!
