An honorary commendation was awarded to our student Th. Zapris (12th Grade) for his immediate and composed response during a choking incident, where he successfully applied First Aid knowledge and skills acquired through his training in the Ministry‑approved program “Kids Save Lives for Schools”, implemented at Mandoulides Schools for the fourth consecutive year.
The award ceremony took place following an invitation from the Regional Director of Primary and Secondary Education of Central Macedonia, Mr. Alexandros Koptsis, during a meeting held at the Regional Directorate of Education of Central Macedonia.
Also present at the meeting were the General Academic Director of Mandoulides Schools, Dr. Aspa Chasioti, and the First Aid program instructor, Ms. Despina Lygoura, the Schools’ Nurse. A meaningful discussion followed regarding the importance of First Aid education, the value of volunteerism, and the crucial role of schools in shaping active, responsible, and socially aware citizens.
This honorary distinction represents a particularly significant recognition for our school, highlighting the value of education and the cultivation of life skills that can meaningfully contribute to the protection and support of our fellow human beings.
