The students Matziari Foteini and Batsou Maira (2nd Grade of Primary School) won 2nd and 3rd place (silver and bronze medal) in the Under 8 category at the Individual Youth Championship of Chess Clubs of Thessaloniki–Chalkidiki, which was held from January 4 to January 10 at the Porto Palace Hotel.
This is an annual event that serves as a qualifying round for the Panhellenic Youth Chess Championships.
