Mandoulides Schools Junior High was recently honored for its diverse environmental initiatives of recent years with the “Green Flag” of the International Educational Network “Eco-Schools”. In Greece, the Network is managed by the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature (EEPF), which also presented the flag.
The aim of the “Eco-Schools” program is to raise awareness, educate, and encourage a change in students’ attitudes on environmental issues through participatory decision‑making processes, planning, and implementation of actions. The goal is for schools to become communities of sustainable coexistence, both pedagogically and practically.
