The students of E. Mandoulides Schools E. Mavridis, O. Milonas, K.  Chatzigeorgiou (10th grade) and Ch. Toumanidis (11th grade) participated as a team in the National Space Competition “CANSAT 2025”, held in Athens, on April 24 and April 25, 2025. During the event, they launched the satellite they had constructed and collected atmospheric and air quality measurements at an altitude of 1,000 meters.

The “ERMIS I” team of E. Mandoulides Schools won the “ASAT” award and qualified for the European Aerospace Competition “EUROC 2025”, which will take place in October of 2025, in Portugal. There, they will launch the satellite they built, with minimal modifications, to an altitude of 9,000 meters using a 70-kilogram liquid fuel rocket!

We congratulate the students on their outstanding achievement, and we wish them the best of luck in the international competition, where they will collaborate with the student team of AUTH “Aristotle Space and Aeronautics Team” (www.asat.gr), the largest student aerospace team in Greece.
