As part of the European program “EU Childocracy”, Mandoulides Schools took part in the twoday Summit held in Sofia, Bulgaria, from March 18 to 20. Ten students from Grades 10 and 11 participated, alongside two additional schools from Italy and Bulgaria.
On the first day, a photography competition was held. Students from all three schools submitted photos depicting European Union values and ways in which they themselves express social and political engagement. In this competition, I. Tsiris (Grade 11) won 2nd prize for his photograph on the theme of the Climate Crisis currently affecting Europe.
On the second day, students attended talks by experts on topics such as the role of Artificial Intelligence in today’s society, the influence of companies, entrepreneurs, and influencers on shaping the political awareness of the younger generation, and the future that young people envision for Europe.
The participation of Mandoulides Schools in the “EU Childocracy” program will conclude with the school’s representation at the corresponding Summit to be held in Palermo, Italy, from April 20 to 22.
