The student E. Vasiliou-Augoustoglou (10th-grade Senior High School) has been selected to represent our country, along with four more students, at the 3rd International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) 2024 JUNIOR, which will take place in Kathmandu, Nepal, from October 3rd to 10th, 2024. Our students ranked 3rd in the selection process.
Her selection was made following an examination held on Saturday, September 7th in Athens at the Chess Club of Ilioupoli.
It is worth mentioning that she won 6th place at the Panhellenic Astronomy and Space Competition 2024. The final phase took place in Volos in early March 2024, and the top ten participants (positions 1 to 10) qualified for the Pre-Olympic Astronomy and Astrophysics Youth Team and were invited to prepare for the final selection that occurred in early September 2024.
