Our student and honors graduate in violin from the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, T. Kyparos (Grade 12), has been selected as one of the 19 finalists in the prestigious Cooper International Violin Competition, earning a full scholarship.In January 2025, he will travel to Oberlin, USA, where the semifinal and final phases of the competition will take place.
This particular international competition, aimed at high-level violinists aged 13 to 18, is held every two years, and is broadcast live via The Violin Channel’s live streaming platform. It is worth noting that Thanos is one of only two musicians from Europe who advanced to the semifinals of the competition.
